SEC XBRL `companyfacts` for Apple, tag `us-gaap:EarningsPerShareDiluted`,
unit `USD/shares` (same fetch as the companion duplicate-periods record in this
batch; different tag).

From the Q2 FY2023 10-Q (`accn: 0000320193-23-000064`, filed 2023-05-05), the
array contains BOTH of these under the identical tag and unit:
```json
{"start":"2021-09-26","end":"2022-03-26","val":3.62, "fp":"Q2", ...}
{"start":"2021-12-26","end":"2022-03-26","val":1.52, "fp":"Q2", ...}
```
Both entries share `end: "2022-03-26"`. The first `start` (`2021-09-26`, the
start of Apple's fiscal year) makes `val: 3.62` a **two-quarter cumulative**
EPS figure (Q1+Q2); the second `start` (`2021-12-26`, the start of that one
quarter) makes `val: 1.52` the **discrete single-quarter** EPS. Same tag, same
unit, same filing, same `end` date, same `fy`/`fp`/`accn` — the ONLY field that
distinguishes "cumulative year-to-date" from "this quarter alone" is `start`.
Deduplicating or aggregating this array by `end` date (a natural first instinct
for "get me the quarterly series") silently mixes YTD and discrete values unless
every candidate's `start` is also checked against the company's known fiscal
quarter boundaries.

How observed: 2026-10-08T05:03:58Z UTC, curl GET, descriptive User-Agent (same
companyfacts fetch as the sibling record in this batch).

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
