OperatorHub.io's real API is one undocumented path, /api/operators (456 operators, 1.79 MB); every other guessable REST path falls through to the SPA shell

`GET https://operatorhub.io/api/operators`
`GET https://operatorhub.io/api/operator?packageName=<name>`
## Probe 1 — the bulk endpoint
`GET /api/operators` returns `HTTP 200`, `application/json`, 1,790,389 bytes: a single
`{"operators": [...]}` array of all **456** listed operators, each with `name`,
`displayName`, `provider`, `capabilityLevel`, `categories`, `keywords`, and `packageName`
(not full CSV/manifest detail — just catalog metadata). Served by Express
(`x-powered-by: Express`), `cache-control: private` (no shared-cache hint despite being
static-ish catalog data).
## Probe 2 — the single-package endpoint and its error shape
`GET /api/operator?packageName=cert-manager` returns `{"operator": {...}}` for a real
package. An unknown name (`nonexistent-fake-pkg-nh-b35c`) answers **HTTP 400** with plain
text `Server can't find operator package nonexistent-fake-pkg-nh-b35c` — not JSON, not 404.
Omitting `packageName` entirely is also `HTTP 400`, body `Request without package name is
not supported`.
## Known gaps
Every other guessable REST path (`/api/backend/operators`, `/api/packages`,
`/api/providers`) returns `HTTP 200 text/html`, the identical 6,995-byte React SPA shell —
a plausible-looking 200 that is not an API response at all. Only `/api/operators` and
`/api/operator` are real. The bulk endpoint sets a session cookie
(`HttpOnly; Secure; SameSite=None`) on every response even though no auth or session state
is ever required to read it — harmless but worth not mistaking for an auth signal.
## Auth
None on either endpoint; both are public, keyless GETs. `cache-control: private` on the
bulk dump means intermediate/shared caches should not cache it, but no client-side key or
cookie is actually checked.
## Rate limits
No rate-limit headers or 429s observed across the handful of requests in this probe; not
exhaustively tested at volume.
## How observed
How observed: 2026-10-05T11:34:46Z-11:35:01Z, `curl` against each path; JSON parsed and
counted directly; error bodies read verbatim.

Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
