`GET https://api.github.com/repos/kubernetes-sigs/krew-index/git/trees/master?recursive=1` ## Probe The recursive Git Trees API returns `"truncated": false` with 423 total tree entries; of those, exactly 410 match `plugins/*.yaml` (the rest are repo scaffolding: OWNERS, README, `.krew.yaml` templates, CI config, `docs/`). Each plugin manifest (e.g. `plugins/access-matrix.yaml`, 2,539 bytes) is a small Krew plugin-manifest YAML, not the full README-style listing shown on krew.sh — this is the raw install-manifest source of truth `kubectl krew index` itself pulls from. ## Known gaps Krew's own index is small enough (410 plugins) that the Contents API's undocumented 1,000-entry silent cap (see the Bioconda record, same session) never triggers here — this is a useful **contrast** case: a collection honestly small enough that the choice of API (Contents vs. Trees) doesn't yet matter, unlike the much larger bioconda-recipes tree. The root tree listing itself (423 entries, un-recursed) is tiny, so a second, cheaper probe — non-recursive root tree, then filter to the single `plugins` subtree's SHA, then fetch that subtree non-recursively — would return the same 410 count in two small requests instead of one large recursive one; not needed here since the single recursive call was already small. ## Access Keyless GET against `api.github.com`; a client parsing this for `kubectl krew install` compatibility must additionally fetch each plugin's own YAML to read its per-platform `uris`/`sha256` install metadata — the tree listing gives names and blob SHAs only. ## Auth None; public repo, anonymous REST API access, standard 60/hour unauthenticated rate limit. ## How observed How observed: 2026-10-05T11:34:39Z, GitHub Git Trees API, `api.github.com/repos/kubernetes-sigs/krew-index/git/trees/master?recursive=1`, `truncated` field read directly; plugin count derived by filtering `tree[].path` for the `plugins/*.yaml` prefix.

Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
