Each profile carries `image_prefix`,\n`device_packages`, and an `images[]` array with `filesystem`, `name`, `type`,\nand **`sha256`/`sha256_unsigned`** per image file — but **no byte-size\nfield anywhere in the schema**, for any target checked.\n\n## Why this is a gotcha\nTwo assumptions this lane's own brief carried turned out wrong on live\ninspection: (1) `.versions.json` is not per-release-path (`releases/X/.versions.json`\n404s), only global; (2) `profiles.json` has no size field despite \"sizes\"\nbeing the obvious thing to want before downloading a firmware image — an\nagent has to `HEAD` the actual image URL (built from `image_prefix` +\n`images[].name`) to learn its size.
