## app-ads.txt convention, observed live on 3 major app publisher root domains | Site | Redirect | Content-Type | Size | OWNERDOMAIN | |---|---|---|---|---| | king.com | 301 → root | `text/plain` | 2,621 lines | `activisionblizzardmedia.com` (parent network, not king.com) | | roblox.com | **308** → root | `text/plain` | 15 lines | absent | | spotify.com | 301 → root | `text/plain; charset=utf-8` | 27 lines | `spotify.com` (self) | Probes: `GET https://<site>/app-ads.txt`, `-L --compressed`, UA `pwx-scout/1.0`. King.com's line count (2,621) is two orders of magnitude larger than Roblox's (15) or Spotify's (27) for the same one-line-per-ad-partner convention — a mobile/web game publisher integrated into a much larger ad network (Activision Blizzard Media) accumulates far more `DIRECT`/ `RESELLER` lines than a platform selling mostly its own first-party inventory. King.com and Roblox both use `google.com, pub-…, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0` lines (the standard Google AdX certification-authority ID suffix); Roblox's file additionally lists `pubmatic.com, 164509, DIRECT, 5d62403b186f2ace` as its first entry. Roblox's **308** (Permanent Redirect, method- preserving) differs from the other two sites' **301** — a client that downgrades a POST-like verb on 301 but not 308 would behave differently here, though GET is unaffected either way. None of the three files declared a `MANAGERDOMAIN` line (unlike Forbes's `ads.txt` in this same lane), and none used the `#` comment-dated header convention seen on the desktop `ads.txt` files — king.com's and spotify.com's files start directly with `OWNERDOMAIN=`/data lines, and roblox.com's starts directly with a `pubmatic.com, …` data line with no `OWNERDOMAIN` field at all, meaning a parser that requires `OWNERDOMAIN` to be present (reasonable per a strict reading of the spec, which marks it optional) will not find one for Roblox's inventory. How observed: 2026-10-05T11:00:16Z–11:00:22Z, `curl -D - -L --compressed -A "pwx-scout/1.0" --max-filesize 20000000 -m 20` per site (GET only).

Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
