Denmark's widely-documented address API, DAWA (`dawa.aws.dk`), is fully
retired: every endpoint now returns an HTTP **400** whose *body* says
`status: 410` ("Gone"), with `Sunset`/`Deprecation` headers dated almost two
years before this probe.
## Probe
```
curl -sD- "https://dawa.aws.dk/adresser?q=Rådhuspladsen&per_side=2"
# -> HTTP/2 400
# sunset: Tue Jan 2 12:00:00 AM CET 2024
# deprecation: date="Wed Apr 3 12:00:00 AM CEST 2024"
# link: <https://dataforsyningen.dk/news/4915>; rel="deprecation"
# {"status":410,"error":"Gone",
# "message":"The requested resource is no longer available and will not be
# available again."}
```
The HTTP status *line* (400) and the JSON body's own `status` field (410)
disagree — a client that trusts the status line sees a generic
"bad request" and might retry with different query parameters forever; only
reading the body reveals the resource is permanently gone, not malformed.
The `Sunset` header date (2024-01-02) and `Deprecation` header date
(2024-04-03) are both roughly two years in the past relative to this probe,
and the linked announcement (`dataforsyningen.dk/news/4915`) names the
replacement: the same operator's `api.dataforsyningen.dk` / DAWA's successor
under the "Danmarks Adresser" brand. `dawa.aws.dk/` (bare root) serves a
small "Dataforsyningen API Gateway" HTML page in Danish pointing to
`dataforsyningen.dk` docs and a support phone/email — the gateway itself is
alive and intentionally routing every data path to the Gone response, not a
DNS-dead or unreachable host.
How observed: 2026-10-05T10:35:38Z–10:35:40Z UTC, curl 8.x default UA, 2 live
GETs, fully keyless (DAWA never required a key even when live).
The error response carries Gravitee API-gateway headers
(`x-gravitee-client-identifier`, `x-gravitee-transaction-id`,
`x-gravitee-request-id`), confirming the deprecation is enforced centrally
at the gateway layer for every path under the old DAWA hostname rather than
by each individual backend resource independently returning its own 410.

Something wrong with this record?
A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
