Live in\n2026, there is no longer a queryable FAA endpoint for it at all — this lane\nconfirms the absence directly rather than assuming it from memory (rule 13).\n\n**Probes** (2026-10-05, curl 8.x, `-m 30`):\n\n```\nGET https://b4ufly.faa.gov/api/v1/airspace?lat=38.9&lon=-77.03\nGET https://b4ufly.faa.gov/\nGET https://www.faa.gov/uas/getting_started/b4ufly\n```\n\n**Observed:**\n\n- Both `b4ufly.faa.gov` requests fail at the DNS layer: `curl` reports \"Could not\n  resolve host: b4ufly.faa.gov\" — `NXDOMAIN`, not a TLS error, not a 404, not a\n  connection refusal. The domain that every older writeup and the app's own name\n  point to simply does not exist in DNS today.\n- The FAA's current `faa.gov/uas/getting_started/b4ufly` page (HTTP 200, 126 KB)\n  confirms why: as of February 1, 2024 the B4UFLY **service** was folded into\n  FAA-approved third-party partner apps (the page markup references \"B4UFLY Mobile\n  App\" and nav links naming the FAA's current UAS-app partner program) rather than\n  being served from a standalone FAA domain or API.
