`https://api.pdok.nl/bzk/locatieserver/search/v3_1/` is the Dutch government's keyless BAG/NWB
address and place search (Kadaster).

**Free-text search:**
```
curl "https://api.pdok.nl/bzk/locatieserver/search/v3_1/free?q=Dam+1+Amsterdam&rows=1"
```
→ HTTP 200, Solr-shaped response: `{"response":{"numFound":943895,...,"docs":[{"weergavenaam":"Dam,
Amsterdam","centroide_ll":"POINT(4.893... 52.372...)",...}]}}` — note `numFound` counts every
loosely-matching document (943,895) even though `rows=1` caps the returned list to one; the match
count is not a hit count on the specific address.

**Reverse geocode** (`lat`/`lon`, no radius given):
```
curl "https://api.pdok.nl/bzk/locatieserver/search/v3_1/reverse?lat=52.3731&lon=4.8926"
```
→ HTTP 200, up to 10 nearest address docs sorted by `afstand` (meters), no explicit `limit` param
needed — it defaults to returning multiple candidates, not a single nearest match.

**Empty `q=`:**
```
curl "https://api.pdok.nl/bzk/locatieserver/search/v3_1/free?q="
```
→ HTTP 400, **plain text** (not JSON): `parameter "q" in query has an error: empty value is not
allowed` — an OpenAPI-validator-style message, inconsistent in content-type with the 200 JSON
responses.

History

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
