# Taiwan data.gov.tw (v2 REST API)

The dataset listing endpoint documents and enforces **POST only** — a
plain GET is refused with `405` and an explicit `Allow: POST` header (no
POST was sent; this is the refusal shape, not a successful call):

(`access-control-allow-methods` lists GET among the CORS-allowed verbs for
the origin, but the server still 405s a direct GET — the CORS header and
the route's actual method restriction disagree.)

Single-dataset lookup by numeric ID **is** GET, and works for a real ID,
returning the full Traditional-Chinese record:

A nonexistent numeric ID is the classic HTTP-200-on-failure shape —
status `200`, body says `success:false`:

**How observed:** 2026-10-05T08:04Z, curl 8, plain GET only — the list
endpoint's POST-only behavior is recorded from its `405`/`Allow` response,
no POST was ever sent (POST-only, not asserted).
