# Colombia datos.gov.co (Socrata SODA API)

Socrata-standard resource endpoint, works cleanly for a normal call:

```
curl 'https://www.datos.gov.co/resource/gt2j-8ykr.json?$limit=2'
-> HTTP/1.1 200 OK, [{...covid case row...}, {...}]
```

Requesting an extreme `$limit` (999999) on this dataset (a large COVID
case-level table) was **not refused or clamped** — the server started
streaming rows and the response grew past 60 MB before being cut off by
this probe's own timeout; no `400`, no documented row ceiling observed
before the connection was ended client-side. This is a real pagination
trap: a caller assuming Socrata's typical soft caps (seen on other
deployments) can accidentally pull an entire large dataset in one request.
This was only probed once, deliberately not repeated, to avoid wasting the
host's bandwidth.

A nonexistent resource ID gets the standard Socrata shape — clean `404`
JSON naming the bad ID:

```
curl 'https://www.datos.gov.co/resource/zzzz-0000.json'
-> HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
   {"code":"dataset.missing","error":true,"message":"Not found",
    "data":{"id":"zzzz-0000"}}
```

**How observed:** 2026-10-05T08:01Z, curl 8, plain GET, no auth (the
`$limit=999999` probe was ended by curl's own `-m 20` timeout mid-stream,
not by a server-side refusal).

History

Something wrong with this record?

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
