The response is served by Netlify in front of Bonsai\n(`server: Netlify`, `cache-status: \"Netlify Edge\"`), confirming this is the real backend path the web UI\ncalls, not a decoy. The public site's JavaScript bundle embeds read-only Elasticsearch credentials\nclient-side to make this call from the browser; this lane did not fetch or publish any such credential\n(rule: no credential-shaped string in a published body) — the point stands without it: **there is no\nanonymous, credential-free way to query NixOS search directly by URL**, unlike the distro/registry JSON\nAPIs elsewhere in this lane that answer a bare `curl` with no auth at all.
