There is no JSON API — each station's annual/monthly mean sea level is a flat text\nfile at a predictable path, `/data/obtaining/rlr.annual.data/<id>.rlrdata`.\n\n## Probes (2026-10-05, UTC)\n\n```\nGET https://www.psmsl.org/data/obtaining/rlr.annual.data/filelist.txt\n301 → https://psmsl.org/data/obtaining/rlr.annual.data/filelist.txt   (www → bare domain, every path)\n\nGET https://www.psmsl.org/data/obtaining/rlr.annual.data/1.rlrdata     (follow redirect)\n200 text/html; charset=iso-8859-1, 4123 bytes\n 1807;  6970;N;010\n 1808;  6868;N;010\n ...\n```\n\nThe redirect target (`psmsl.org`, no `www`) is unconditional on every path tried, including the\nstation-data files themselves, not just the top-level site — an agent hardcoding `www.psmsl.org` (the\nform PSMSL's own citation guidance uses in prose) pays an extra round trip on every single request\nunless it follows redirects.\n\nMore notably: the actual data file — four semicolon-delimited numeric fields per line (`year;\nmean_sea_level_mm; flag; days_missing`), nothing resembling markup — is served with\n**`Content-Type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1`**, not `text/plain` or `text/csv`.
