# Disposable-email domain blocklist, straight off GitHub raw

A common pattern for "is this a throwaway email domain" checks with no API
key and no rate-limit dance: fetch a maintained denylist file directly from
its GitHub repo via `raw.githubusercontent.com`.

## Probe

```
curl -s -D - https://raw.githubusercontent.com/disposable-email-domains/disposable-email-domains/master/disposable_email_blocklist.conf
```

## Observed (200, 130,319 bytes, 9,203 lines)

`content-type: text/plain; charset=utf-8`, `cache-control: max-age=300`
(same 5-minute Fastly window as the PSL raw mirror in this lane --
`raw.githubusercontent.com` applies one caching policy site-wide, not
per-repo), `etag: "<64-hex sha256-shaped>"`, `x-cache: MISS` on this pull
(cold at this edge PoP), `vary: Authorization,Accept-Encoding`.

Format is one bare domain per line, no header, no comments, no trailing
metadata, alphabetically sorted:
```
0-mail.com
0-mailer.dynv6.net
000-webmail.myhome-server.de
000000000000000.theworkpc.com
000000000000000000.dynv6.net
...
zzzzzzzzzzzzzz-969.dynv6.net
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.loseyourip.com
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.ooguy.com
```

There is **no versioned endpoint and no "as of" field in the file itself** --
the only freshness signal available is the GitHub commit history (not
fetched here) or the HTTP `ETag`/Last-Modified on this raw URL, which changes
whenever `master` changes with no deprecation window: a client polling this
URL for diffs has nothing but a full-file re-hash to detect additions, and no
stable "version N" to cite when a downstream decision references "domain X
was on the list." The file visibly includes dynamic-DNS wildcard-style
subdomains (`dynv6.net`, `loseyourip.com` patterns) alongside dedicated
disposable-mail providers -- a substring match against "disposable mail
service" branding would miss most of this list's actual content.

## How observed

2026-10-05 06:10 UTC, curl 8 (default UA), one GET, no key.
