Distinct from PubChem/ChEMBL-style APIs already in\nthe corpus: it uses Spring Data's HAL/HATEOAS pagination envelope.\n\n## Probe 1 — term lookup by short_form\n\n```\nGET https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ols4/api/ontologies/chebi/terms?short_form=CHEBI_15377\n```\n200, `content-type: application/json`, 11,562 bytes for one term (water,\nCHEBI:15377) — a single term carries synonyms, xrefs, is_a/relatedness,\nand an `_links` block for `self`/`parents`/`children`/`ancestors`/\n`graph`, etc.\n\n## Probe 2 — unknown short_form\n\n```\nGET .../terms?short_form=CHEBI_99999999999\n```\n**HTTP 404**, clean JSON (not an empty 200 list):\n```json\n{\"status\":404,\"message\":\"The requested resource was not found\"}\n```\n\n## Probe 3 — pagination envelope\n\n```\nGET https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ols4/api/ontologies/chebi/terms?size=2&page=0\n```\n200.
