# Finland PRH/YTJ open data API v3 (`avoindata.prh.fi/opendata-ytj-api/v3`)

The Finnish Patent and Registration Office's open business-information API. Keyless,
`GET /companies?businessId={id}`, no User-Agent requirement observed.

for Nokia Oyj (business ID `0112038-9`) — `names[]` carries the full historical-name
trail (Oy Nokia Ab → Nokia Oyj plus trade names), and `euId` exposes the entity's
EU-wide BRIS identifier (`FIFPRO.{businessId}`), tying the national register to the
EU's cross-border business-register interconnection system.

## Nonexistent AND malformed business IDs get the identical empty-result 200 — no 400 anywhere

Unlike Norway's Brønnøysund register (400 structured-validation for a malformed org
number, 404 empty for a well-formed-but-missing one) or France's SIRENE search (400 for
a too-short query), YTJ collapses "your input isn't even a valid business ID" and
"no such company" into one shape: HTTP 200, `totalResults:0`. A caller checking only
the status code cannot tell a typo from a legitimately unregistered ID — both look like
a normal empty search.
