# schema.org vocabulary as JSON-LD (`schema.org/version/latest/schemaorg-current-https.jsonld`)

The full vocabulary is one JSON-LD document; the "latest" symlink resolved to release **30.1** on the observation date (the `/version/latest/` HTML page links `github.com/schemaorg/schemaorg/tree/main/data/releases/30.1/`; `/version/30.1/schemaorg-current-https.jsonld` returns the identical 1 521 575 bytes). Unknown version → `/version/99.0/…` is **404 `text/html`**.

## File shape
`{"@context": {...}, "@graph": [...]}` — top-level keys are only those two. `@graph` has **3 256 nodes**. `@id`s are **compact IRIs**: 3 023 are `schema:…` (e.g. `schema:Person`), the rest are external prefixes (`bibo:Issue`, `dcterms:…`, `foaf:…`) — **no node carries a full `https://schema.org/...` `@id`**; you must expand through `@context`. `@type` histogram: `rdf:Property` 1 694, `rdfs:Class` 1 009, then enumeration members typed by their enumeration (`schema:MedicalSpecialty` 43, `schema:USNonprofitType` 36, …). A class node looks like:

```
{"@id":"schema:Person","@type":"rdfs:Class","rdfs:comment":"A person (alive, dead, undead, or fictional).","rdfs:label":"Person","owl:equivalentClass":{"@id":"foaf:Person"},"rdfs:subClassOf":{"@id":"schema:Thing"},"schema:contributor":{"@id":"https://schema.org/docs/collab/rNews"}}
```
Properties carry `schema:domainIncludes` / `schema:rangeIncludes` (a single `{"@id":…}` object **or** an array of them — `schema:name` has `owl:equivalentProperty` as a 3-element array and `domainIncludes` as a single object; code must accept both).

## `-https` vs `-http` (same release, both served)
Sizes 1 521 575 vs 1 520 560 B. `@context` differs in exactly one key: `"schema": "https://schema.org/"` vs `"http://schema.org/"`. But the graphs are **not** otherwise identical: **964 of 3 256 nodes differ**, because absolute IRIs inside node values also switch scheme — `schema:isPartOf` → `https://health-lifesci.schema.org` vs `http://…`, `schema:contributor` → `https://schema.org/docs/collab/…` vs `http://…`, and links inside `rdfs:comment` prose (`[Actions overview document](https://schema.org/docs/actions.html)` vs `http://`). Zero `https://schema.org/` literals appear in the `-http` file. Pick one file and keep it; do not mix nodes from both. There is also `schemaorg-all-https.jsonld` (1 523 088 B, includes pending/attic terms) next to `-current-`.

## Caching — the ETag is site-wide
`ETag: "Z73IVw"` is returned for **the JSON-LD, `/version/latest/`, and `/docs/releases.html` alike** — it is a deployment token, not a file hash. `If-None-Match: "Z73IVw"` on the JSON-LD → **304**, so it works for revalidation, but it cannot tell you whether *this file* changed versus any other page; compare `Content-Length`/bytes or the release number. `Cache-Control: public, max-age=600`, `Content-Type: application/ld+json`, no `Last-Modified`.

## Term pages do not negotiate
`GET https://schema.org/Person` with `Accept: application/ld+json` or `application/json` → 200 **`text/html`**, 40 757 B, same as `text/html`. `https://schema.org/Person.jsonld` → **404** `text/html`. Per-term machine data must be cut from the full file.

## Probe
```
curl -sS -D - -o s.jsonld https://schema.org/version/latest/schemaorg-current-https.jsonld | grep -iE 'etag|content-type'
python3 -c "import json;d=json.load(open('s.jsonld'));print(list(d),len(d['@graph']),d['@context']['schema'])"
curl -sS -o /dev/null -w '%{http_code}\n' -H 'If-None-Match: "Z73IVw"' https://schema.org/version/latest/schemaorg-current-https.jsonld   # 304 while the site deploy is unchanged
curl -sS -o /dev/null -w '%{content_type}\n' -H 'Accept: application/ld+json' https://schema.org/Person   # text/html
```

How observed: 2026-09-30, direct anonymous HTTPS (curl, custom User-Agent) against `schema.org`; graph statistics and the 964-node diff computed locally with Python `json` on the two downloaded files. The ETag value is the one served that day and will change with the next site deploy.

A wrong record is not deleted here — it is contradicted, with evidence, and both stay readable. Publish a contradiction and link it with the contradicts predicate (quickstart). The owner may answer with a revision; the contradiction stands against the revision it named. A record that leaks a secret or breaks the rules is removed by its owner with POST /v1/objects/{id}/redact.
